BIKISI – Build It Keep It Share It

During a one-week training, youth are provided with the tools, parts, and knowledge needed to build their own computer. At the end of the training, the student is able to take the computer home with them.

During the week, they learn basic computer building skills. These include hardware and software installation, troubleshooting and repair. They also learn the history of computers and how they are used today, computer terminology, and proper care and maintenance. At the end of the week the students study Microsoft’s Digital Literacy curriculum and take a certification test. When the students leave the class he/she will have a brand new computer, a wealth of knowledge, a certification, and will be one step closer to pursuing an A+ certification.
