This essential webinar examines the premeditated behaviors used by perpetrators to manipulate and exploit children and youth through grooming. Designed for educators, social workers, administrators, parents, and child protection professionals, this session provides evidence-based knowledge to identify victims, recognize warning signs, and understand the dynamics of both in-person and online grooming.

Define grooming and understand its role as a precursor to child sexual abuse
Identify vulnerable populations and micro- and macro-level risk factors that increase susceptibility to grooming
Recognize the characteristics and tactics commonly used by perpetrators
Understand the seven primary grooming techniques (the "7 P's") and how they manifest
Distinguish between in-person and online grooming behaviors and platforms
Identify immediate indicators and long-term consequences of child sexual exploitation
Apply knowledge to recognize warning signs in children and youth across various settings human trafficking and revictimization).
