iGuardian Presentation for Trusted Adults

September 18, 2025 | 2:00-3:30 pm

Protecting children in the digital age is more critical than ever. Join us for Project iGuardian, a powerful presentation from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the principal investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security and a global leader in combating online child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA).

Designed specifically for parents and trusted adults, this 1 hour and 15 minute session provides an honest and thorough look at the threats children and teens face online. HSI special agents will share their expertise and firsthand experience from both national and local investigations, helping attendees better understand how predators operate and how youth can be targeted.

Topics covered include:

  • The scale and scope of online CSEA

  • Real-world cases from HSI investigations

  • Top apps and what kids are doing online

  • Grooming tactics used by predators

  • Sextortion and its devastating impact

  • Data permanency and online risks

  • How to use parental controls effectively

  • Practical ways to start conversations with your child

  • Steps to take if your child becomes a victim

This presentation also features public service announcements from leading partners such as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Thorn, and ChildFund International, offering additional resources and perspectives.

By the end of this training, parents and caregivers will walk away with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to protect the children in their lives and know how to take action if exploitation is suspected.

This webinar training is 1.5 hours.
CEUs: 1.5 CEUs will be provided for social workers.
