Our mission: Mission West Virginia changes the lives of youth and families. We promote positive futures by recruiting foster families, providing life skills education and creating community connections.
Would you like to become part of an exciting mission led organization? An organization that works diligently to create healthier futures for youth and families? Mission West Virginia’s THINK program has provided over 100,000 students across 25 counties in WV with pregnancy prevention, healthy relationship and life skills educational services. Our FrameWorks program is dedicated to finding families for youth in the WV foster care system and has responded to thousands of families who want to take next steps to foster or adopt. Would you like to be a part of finding families for youth in care who are considered the hardest to place? To date, our adoption workers have helped to find forever families for 83 children and we’ve served nearly 10,000 families.
Please use this form to express your interest in volunteering as a member of the board with Mission West Virginia. We are seeking board members with skills and experience related to legal, accounting, fundraising, nonprofit experience, events, and project management. Specifically, we are most interested in board members who share a common vision to support youth in foster care and reduce teen pregnancy in West Virginia. You will have opportunities to provide leadership for our organization, contribute to our direction, lead/manage projects, and build a sustainable organization.
Mission West Virginia will be seeking applications throughout the year. Once an application is submitted, the MWV Executive Director and board representative will schedule a meeting.
